DailyVerse (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website https://quotes.countcharacters.org (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2.1 Information you provide

• Email address and display name if you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Phone number if you choose to add it for WhatsApp delivery (optional).

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, quotes viewed, likes, shares, and bookmarks. This is used to improve the feed and measure feature popularity.
• Device & browser info — browser type, operating system, and approximate timezone, used to optimise delivery times.
• Cookies & local storage — we store a guest identifier and your like/bookmark state locally on your device so you do not need an account to enjoy the app.
• Log data — our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard server logs including IP addresses, request timestamps, and error reports. These logs are retained for up to 30 days.

2.3 Third-party analytics & advertising

We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

• To provide and personalise the quote feed.
• To remember your likes, bookmarks, and preferences across sessions.
• To send optional daily quote notifications (push, email, or WhatsApp) only if you opt in.
• To detect and prevent abuse or spam.
• To measure aggregate usage and improve the Service.
• To display relevant advertisements via Google AdSense.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security, and service-role key isolation. No sensitive data (passwords, payment info) is collected.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use the following types of cookies and local storage:

• Essential — authentication session cookies set by Supabase Auth after sign-in.
• Functional — local storage keys for guest ID, liked quote IDs, and bookmarks.
• Advertising — Google AdSense cookies for ad personalisation (third-party).

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features (like remembering your likes) may not work correctly.

The Service integrates with the following third parties, each with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — hosting and edge network
• Google — sign-in (OAuth) and advertising (AdSense)

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.

• Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.
